Ven. Kunga Sangbo Rinpoche is the abbot of Jyekundo Monastery in Kham region in eastern Tibet; he is also a tulku (reincarnated lama) of Tashigong Monastery in Lhasa. His main teachers are Ludin Khen Rinpoche, the Head of the Ngor Lineage, and His Holiness Sakya Trizin, Head of the Sakyapa School of Tibetan Buddhism. When Rinpoche is free from his activities at these monasteries, he resides in Beijing and teaches to a growing number of Chinese students as well as preparing books and manuscripts. To date he has published 25 books in the Sakya Lineage, and is also a main contributor in a monumental Tibetan-Chinese dictionary. Kunga Sangbo Rinpoche has established a primary school for nomadic children in Pathang, Jyekundo, his hometown. The Thousand Stars Foundation has supported this school since 2005 until today. Rinpoche has come to Thailand several times to give Dharma teachings, bestow empowerments, and present works in academic conferences.
