Invitation to Attend the Stupa Ceremony

The Thousand Stars Foundation would like to invite members of the public to join the Foundation Construction Ceremony of the Tara Great Stupa and the Procession to carry the model stupa to the Khadirava Center in Hua Hin from 26 to 27 September 2009.

Those who are interested in joining the Procession by their private cars please gather at the Foundation House, 695 Ladprao 11 before 6 am. The Procession led by Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche and Dr. Krisadawan Hongldarom will start at 6 am on September 26, and will arrive at its destination at the Khadiravana Center around 11 am.

It is also possible to join the Procession in a private air-conditioned bus that the Foundation will arrange. The bus will leave together with the Procession at 6 am.

As a thank-you gift, the Foundation will provide participants with food and simple accommodation at Khadirvana. Volunteers are also needed for a variety of tasks.

Those of you would like to join the Procession in the bus, please register by 15 September 2009. The number of seats is limited.

Program and Itinerary
of the Procession of the Model Stupa to the Khadiravana Center

6 am. Start at the Foundation House, Ladprao Soi 11

The Procession stops at Hua Hin Town. The mayor of Hua Hin and residents welcome the Procession, together with a marching band, a Dharma music band, and a Tibetan style procession. Buddha statues, Dharma scriptures and the Model Stupa will then be carried to the Khadiravana Center.

12 noon: Lunch

Afternoon: Puja and offering ceremony for the fertility of water and land. Foundation Construction Ceremony of the Tara Great Stupa presided by beloved teachers of both Thais and Tibetans. Latri Khenpo Geshe Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche bless the construction work.

3:30 pm: Break

Late afternoon: Activities concerning love and mindfulness

6 pm: Dinner

Light offerings, walking mantra and circumambulation of the stupa site
Rest in a peaceful environment under the stars

6 am: Waking up, meditation and mindfulness practice with the mountains, prostration to dedicate the merits to His Majesty the King and one’s parents

8 am: Breakfast

9 am: Dharma Conversation with Nyima Dakpa Rinpoche on “Karma in Buddhism and Healing”

12 noon: Lunch

Afternoon: Return to Bangkok.
