Before the empowerment was over, Rinpoche asked us to repeat after him the lines that say we would keep our commitment with Tara forever. That is, we would meditate on her and recite her mantra. We would also keep other commitments in Vajrayana Buddhism, namely we would hold the master dearly and we would treat everyone who was present in the empowerment with love and care. All of them have now become our Vajra friends. Rinpoche asked us to love each other and never get angry with anyone. He encouraged us to live our lives without anger. At least, for 10 days and you can see how happy you are.
Khun Maechee presented Rinpoche gifts of Bodhi tree picture and her recent book “Noble Mission”. She also gave him her donation, but Rinpoche presented it back to her. It’s his donation for Savika Sikkhalai. It’s a touching scene to see our Tibetan master taking part in this great project dedicated to women’s education.
After the ceremony, I got a chance to update Khun Maechee on our Tara great projects at Khadiravana. She was delighted to hear the news about the Shanti Tara Maha Stupa. She reassured me that from now on we would be sisters in the dharma and we would help each other. She also promised to come to Khadiravana the day we begins the construction. I’m grateful to her open heart. I told her that I would be working with her to help spread the noble dharma, particularly the teaching on compassion.
By the time we left the Dharmasathan, it’s already after 7 pm. Khun Maechee, another nun and Siriwan’s younger sister came to see us off at the gate. They were practicing the mudra of mandra offering while waiting for Soraj’s car. Yesterday’s event is our great mandala to Mother Tara. May all sentient beings enjoy this wonderful realm!
