After Mind and life, we moved to the Pathumwan Princess. There we celebrated Prof. Ide’s achievements of 35 years of having served Japan Women’s University. The party was possible with supports from Center for Ethics of Science and Technology and Center of Excellence for Language, Linguistics and Literature, Faculty of Arts, Chulalongkorn University. The party was co-organized by these Centers and the Thousand Stars Foundation.
Special thanks to Dr. Suchitra, Dr. Siriporn, Dr. Nuttaporn and the faculty and students of the Thai Department. Thanks are also due to our musicians, singers and dancers who brought laughters and smiles.
The event wouldn’t be possible without tireless efforts of Miao, Nuch and all the students who participated in the performances.
Prof. Ide was happy to receive her Thai garland. Aj. Theraporn of the Linguistic department is in the background.
Nuch and Mark sang a Japanese song.
Students from the Thai Department performed “Angkalung”.
Kris posted with all the amateur artists.
Special music from the Roof of the World. May your career and linguistic research prosper just like the melodious sound of this clarinet!
